Finding a good quality office chair can be a somewhat awkward experience. Too often one can go down the path of purchasing the cheapest available chairs on the market, but this is not necessarily the best investment for 2 very good reasons. The first is that the quality of work you produce is often in direct relation with the equipment that you have available. Now, I am absolutely NOT saying that one need a good chair in order to produce quality work, but it can certainly help.

The second reason would be that a good quality chair will last MUCH longer. In terms of monetary value you would simply take the chair and divide the amount paid by the days the chair lasts realistically.So if you purchased a cheap chair for around £50 and it last 365 days (13 pence a day) whilst a better quality chair of say £120 last 1000 days (12 pence a day), the second purchase would definitely have been the best choice! Of course this argument does not take into effect that the quality work produced over the 1000 days would be FAR superior per day than the CHEAPER 365 day chair...

I am sure that you comprehend this basic argument. It is always necessary to think in terms of material things (with the exception of fixed assets) as deprecatory in value. You basically ONLY RENT the shirt on your back as well as the shoes on your feet.... YOU NEVER own them... Even the land that you might "own" belongs to the country.... You basically own nothing... Only control assets. But once again ownership is control, so I suppose one can argue that you do "own" it and that the one who controls it owns it outrightly! (let's not get too philosophical here!)
